Introduction

 

Welcome to the 2010 Husky I+ Challenge, we are excited for the program to kick off and we will begin accepting applications shortly!

This past year, we helped students from across campus launch 8 ventures from a variety of business ideas. Your fellow Huskies learned a tremendous amount this past year, but don't take our word for it [link]!

This past year was a huge success, but like typical entrepreneurs, we've gone ahead and made the program even better!  We've re-evaluated the curricula, lined up some incredible speakers and plan on giving away cool new prizes.

We are  super eager to start working together with you on building your businesses and helping you get started on the path of innovating. Ultimately, we want to see you succeed with your ideas and as such, this is also the beginning or continuation of the awesome thrill ride that is Entrepreneurship!

 

Requirements

We had previously highlighted the requirements for the Husky I+ Challenge but wanted to recap on them as they are vital to remaining a participant in the competition. These guidelines have been put in place to ensure you all receive the most out of the HIC and that the competition at the end of the HIC is fair to those who put their best foot forward.
  • Each team must be represented at each boot camp. If you cannot make it to a boot camp contact the HIC team as soon as a conflict arises.
  • Teams should make use of Idea Startup and create a basic business plan that outlines the simple business strategy for submission at Demo Day. There are no formal requirements other than to use the service to outline the basics about your business. We'll fill you in on this at the boot camp.
  • You get what you guys put into this so make sure you put your best attempts forward for Demo Day with a Prototype to demonstrate the value of their venture.
