Executive Board 2010-2011

Aaron Gerry – President

Aaron Gerry is currently a Senior at Northeastern; serving as the President of the University's Entrepreneurs Club and pursuing a Bachelor's of Science in Biology.

With the club, Aaron helped to develop and launch the Husky Innovation Challenge.  An avid evangelist of the entrepreneurial community at NU, Aaron has helped to cultivate awareness for entrepreneurs and works to support his fellow student-run startups as a Coach for IDEA, Northeastern’s Venture Accelerator.

Working on his own startup, Aaron is the Co-Founder of Zazu, the smartest damn alarm clock!

In the past, Aaron has interned at Localytics, taught Boston Public High School students, and was part of the core team that brought Ultra Light Startups to Boston.   Aaron thoroughly enjoys hot sauce and zombie movies!

 

Stephanie Filipek – Vice President

Stephanie Filipek is currently pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. She has done two co-ops, one as a project assistant at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement and the other as a human resources assistant at Beacon Partners.

She has studied business in Lyon, France for a semester and will be doing her final co-op in Germany working as a project manager for Bisnode. Through her co-op and class experiences she has realized that she has an interest in new product development and branding. Other interests include traveling, photography and working on her website start-up SANE Traveler.

   

Raymond Harris – Treasurer

 

Raymond Gordon Harris III runs the treasury of the Entrepreneurs Club as a sophomore candidate for a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. He is also pursuing a minor in Creative Industries and a focus in Social Entrepreneurship. Ray designed the current website and he has also contributed to the Boloco and MMB Immersion Programs as well as the inaugural Husky Innovation Challenge. His interests include athletics, game design, graphic art, travel, and frugality among many others.

 

Eric Santagada – Director of Marketing and Communications

Eric Santagada is enjoying his second year at Northeastern where he is studying entrepreneurship and the music industry.   He loves nature, playing bass, and brainstorming.  His first company, Rent-A-Bed, is launching on campus in Fall 2010.   He also developed a framework for The Astro Lounge, a late-night hookah bar and live music venue, as a participant in the inaugural Husky Innovation Challenge (HIC).

His wanderlust led him to co-op as a Sales Associate in the adult tour division of EF Education.  Participation in Northeastern programs to Rouen, France and Zion National Park lent him credibility to customers.

You can find Eric walking around Boston with his girlfriend Liz, jamming with his good friends Blue Mountain Bustdown or tutoring kids at Squashbusters.   He would rather ask for forgiveness than permission.

 

   

Greg Skloot - Director of HIC

Greg Skloot is a sophomore business and MIS major at Northeastern. Greg has extensive experience in IT related start ups. As a freshman in high school, he started an IT consulting company that specializes in computer repair and website development and he has recently expanded these services to the Boston area. Greg has been working with technology for over half a decade and has extensive knowledge in website development, design, programming and implementation. Greg previously served as the Chief Information Officer at WellnesSpace.com, an online health and wellness software firm.

Currently, Greg is a Student Fellow at .406 Ventures, a technology venture capital firm located in Boston. During Spring 2010, Greg will be completing a co-op with Cisco Systems in Dallas, Texas working with the Customer Advocacy Lab Operations team.

 

 

 

Kerry Thompson – Director of EIP

Kerry Thompson is currently a junior at Northeastern and pursing a Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration with a dual concentration in Marketing and Entrepreneurship. Her entrepreneurial spirit started when she invented “The Stocking Stretcher” which won the Smithsonian award for most unique and original idea. Making the mistake of not patenting the idea, to her surprise, a few years later her product was being sold. While interning at MassMutual she found her interest for marketing/ advertising, where she worked on many advertising initiatives for the company. Kerry’s interests also include lacrosse, hockey, and shopping.

   

Wells Riley – Director of IT

Wells Riley is currently a Junior in Art+Design at Northeastern with a major in Graphic Design and a minor in Creative Industries.

In 2006, Wells founded the web and print design firm Bionic Hippo, creating interactive and branding projects for a myriad of creative professionals, startups, and musicians including Of A Revolution, Braddigan, State Radio, and Pete Francis of Dispatch, and Barefoot Truth. His work has reached millions, and built strong brands around some of the most promising names in the music industry.

Wells completed his first co-op at Pilot Design Group in Boston as a Production Designer last summer. Pilot builds rock solid brands and designs packaging for some of the most powerful companies on the planet, including P&G Gillette, Colgate, and Advanced Vision Research.

When Wells isn't enveloped in music he's building websites, reading, and attending startup events in Boston.
